Mill Creek Glass is me, Melissa Zielinski. I create fused art glass bowls, platters, suncatchers and wall panels inspired by the beauty of nature. I worked for over 28 years in natural history museum education and my love for nature fuels my artwork. I am especially drawn to coastal and marine life subjects that reflect my life on the North Coast. I draw the  designs, make them into  patterns, cut and grind glass pieces, assemble my artwork and then fuse in my very own kiln – which is a lot of fun!

I use plain and iridized glass along with confetti, frit, rods and stringers. Almost all of my sheet glass is from Bullseye Glass in Portland, Oregon. Mill Creek Glass is exhibited locally in Humboldt County (located 6 hours north of San Francisco) at craft shows, art centers and restaurants.
